Match 49 - India Win the ICC Cricket World Cup

The scores and league tables have been updated with the final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat, and with a flurry of runs in the last few overs set India a target of 275 to win. India managed to hold their nerve and stay well in touch throughout - and MS Dhoni carried them through to victory.

Match 48 - India beat Pakistan by 29 runs

The scores and league tables have been updated with the second Semi Final of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
India won the toss and chose to bat. They set Pakistan a target of 261 runs to reach the final, 85 of which were scored by a fortunate Tendulkar! Pakistan started brightly but didn't score quite enough in a tense match. India won by 29 runs.
So we have an India v Sri Lanka final on Saturday!!!
Match 47 - Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by 5 wickets

The scores and league tables have been updated with the first Semi Final of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat, and were bowled out for 217. Sri Lanka replied well and, despite a mid innings wobble, won the match with 5 wickets and 2 overs remaining.
Tomorrow we'll find out whether it's India or Pakistan that meet Sri Lanka in the final.
Match 46 - Sri Lanka beat England by 10 wickets

The scores and league tables have been updated with the action from the fourth and final Quarter Final of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
England chose to bat and set Sri Lanka a target of 230 to win the match. Sri Lanka had no trouble scoring the runs and beat England by 10 wickets with more than 10 overs remaining - a century from each of the opening batsmen.
The first semi final will be on Tuesday between New Zealand and Sri Lanka on Tuesday, then India v Pakistan on Wednesday.
